Character Ref: May

 May was born in the city of Chatham, Illinois into a middle-lower class family. Her parents are John and Angela Evans, and at the time, had an older sister named Jessica. Her mother was a stay-at-home mother, while her father worked as a Computer Technician. When May turned six, her mother wanted her and her family to move out of the city, since she didn't want her children to grow up in such a dangerous city. John didn't want to leave his job, but later decided it was best. May and her family decided to move to Japan because her father got a job in a small corporation at the time, Kogami Corporation. Though Angela didn't want to move that far from where they were; let alone leave the country, she decided to give Japan a shot.

 Though learning a complete different culture took a while to learn, May seemed to love Japan more then her town she was born in. She developed a liking to painting from her classes she had in her Elementary school. 

 When May was seven, her father grew really stressed at his job he had in the corporation. It got so bad to where he would snap at his family easily, which wasn't like him. May, Jessica, and Angela grew worried for him and would not talk to him as much as they use to to him. 
 
One night, John slapped Angela in the face for asking what was wrong with him. His stress finally blew up so bad to where he would even beat Jessica and May.


 Fast forwarding to her teens, May grew to be very quiet and shy around her classmates and other people. She didn't really want any friends, because she was worried that they would ask her if something was wrong with her, because she wanted to keep the "family secret" to only herself. It all changed when she was 14 when she met her later on best friend, Jennette Robin. Jennette moved to Japan from Australia, and May was assigned from her teacher to help her out. Though she was scared to death to even talk to her, Jennette seemed like a really nice person as May talked to her. 

 The duo later on became best friends. May was happy she had Jennette in her life because of things as home. Though Jennette would ask her about her bruises that sometimes were on her temple or forehead, she would say she tripped.

 Jennette grew skeptical of May when they kept on appearing, so she confronted May about it. After many attempts to brush it aside, May finally told her that her father abused her and her family. Jennette was furious about this, but May didn't want her to step in because she said it might grow worse if her dad found out.


 She met Trunks at sixteen with one of her "friends", Taylor. She knew Taylor only used her as a friend to look good and nice, but she didn't say anything. 

 Taylor was Trunks' girlfriend, and she asked May if she wanted to come with her to see Trunks. She said no, but Taylor took her anyway. May stayed quiet and sat at a couch in the living room, where she wrote on her laptop to avoid talking to anyone. Though she could tell Trunks looked at her time from time as he talked to Taylor, she chose to avoid his gazes.

 As winter came along, May was nervous around Trunks, as he asked her if she wanted someone to walk with in the snowstorm that came into West City. As they reached her house, her mom quickly came out of the house and told May to get inside before her dad found out she was out of the house. May's mom yelled at Trunks because he was standing there, smiling. He was called a 'pedophile" by her, and by this, May's mom late on dislikes him forever. (wahahahaaa)

 Trunks eventually grew sick after walking her, which made May super guilty. She went to his house and gave him two bento boxes so he could feel better. This was the first time she actually talked to him, so obviously she was a stuttering mess.


 They grew closer when Jennette gave Trunks a makeup paper he was supposed to give May when she didn't go to school one day.

 The paper was a lab assignment for two people over enzymes. May was deathly afraid about this, but after working with him, she showed a little bit of her true side to him. She later on stopped being to shy and always stuttering around him, because she grew comfortable around him.

 As spring came around, Trunks found out she was abused by her father, as he grew worried about her bruises and marks around winter time. He asked why she said was, and she said her mother finally reported him and was put in jail. May doesn't hold a grudge against him and wasn't </span>traumatized about it, saying "he wasn't a terrible person. It was just his temper".

 Later on, Trunks confessed his feelings after so long, and the two dated and then married later on.
